1. Scope

This license applies to original copyrightable SkipperCast software,
documentation, and other material expressly offered under this license
(the "Material"). It does not apply to third-party material, public-domain
information, or underlying facts. Those retain their own terms as described
in NOTICE.md and accompanying source notices.

2. Personal-use permission

Subject to this license, each individual is granted a worldwide, royalty-free,
non-exclusive license to access, copy, run, study, and modify the Material
solely for that individual's private, noncommercial recreation, learning,
and personal boat-fishing planning ("Personal Use"). An individual may share
the results of such Personal Use with family and friends without compensation.

You may distribute unmodified or modified copies of the Material without
charge for recipients' Personal Use, including through a public source-code
fork, provided that you retain this license and applicable notices, identify
your modifications, and license those copies and your modifications under
these same terms. You may submit changes to this project on those terms.
Intermediary storage and delivery of these permitted source or binary copies
is allowed. This exception does not permit operating the software as a hosted
application or service for others.

3. Uses requiring separate permission

No permission is granted for use of the Material for or on behalf of a
business, employer, nonprofit, government body, school, or other organization;
for charter operations or commercial fishing; for paid consulting or services;
for a paid, advertising-supported, or sponsored product or service; or for
any other commercial, professional, or organizational purpose. Individual
unpaid private study is Personal Use; institutional use is not.

You may not sell, sublicense under different terms, or otherwise commercially
exploit the Material. Obtain separate written permission from the applicable
rights holder for any use outside the permissions above. All rights not
expressly granted are reserved.

4. Attribution and outputs

Preserve notices and separately applicable third-party license requirements.
This license grants no trademark rights and no right to imply endorsement.
It does not assert ownership of your independent trip notes, observations,
catches, or other outputs merely because you used the software to create
them. Outputs that reproduce protected Material remain subject to its terms.
Nothing here limits rights you already have under applicable law or under
another license, including rights in public-domain data.

5. Termination

These permissions terminate automatically if you violate this license.
Termination does not remove obligations concerning notices or copies already
distributed. A rights holder may separately reinstate permission in writing.

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

THE MATERIAL IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR CONTINUED AVAILABILITY.
IT IS NOT A NAVIGATION SYSTEM, A SAFETY CLEARANCE, A FORECAST GUARANTEE,
OR A SUBSTITUTE FOR CURRENT OFFICIAL CHARTS, REGULATIONS, AND LOCAL CONDITIONS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AUTHORS AND RIGHTS
HOLDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY,
WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN
CONNECTION WITH THE MATERIAL OR ITS USE. NOTHING IN THIS LICENSE EXCLUDES
LIABILITY THAT APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW TO BE EXCLUDED.
